Job Title: Operator – Slag Plant

Department: MH / Raw Material & WM

Job Purpose

Ensure efficient operation of the Slag Plant to support uninterrupted metal recovery from Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) slag. Assist the Supervisor in coordinating contractor activities, tracking reports, and ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Inventory: Control processed slag yards by size and track rerun material generation.
• Testing & Quality: Assist in conducting Iron ($\text{Fe}$) content testing and calculate metal recovery ratios from processed slag.
• Reporting: Help prepare daily, monthly, and yearly reports for dispatches, production, metal recovery, and metallization.
• Dispatch & Sales: Monitor sales order movements, oversee material loading onto trucks, verify correct sizes, and approve documentation for weighbridge release.
• Safety & Environment: Monitor contractor safety compliance, dust emissions, and water spraying systems.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in a similar field (material & heavy equipment management preferred).
• Skills: Good communication skills in English, basic computer proficiency, and strong teamwork capabilities.
• Certifications (Preferred): HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) training.
